Happy International Day of Families! Today is a day especially dedicated to spending time with your family and simply enjoying their company. Unlike other "Family" holidays, this one does not include gift-giving, fighting, name-calling, or specialty meats. To honor the day, the Holiday Hero and I took our fur babies on a nice walk through our park and watched a family-friendly movie together (Hugo). We also tried to have a family photo shoot! Additionally, today is Straw Hat Day. What better way to celebrate than to actually wear a straw hat (which are apparently quite expensive. Here's your Holiday Hero with his:

Finally, we would also like to take a moment to honor all those police officers who have given their lives for the protection of the public. Alright, that's enough niceties about cops. See you tomorrow!
