Nunavut but Sports Cliches

Apparently, today is a good day to live in Nunavut, Canada, eh? It is the day that Nunavut Canadians celebrate the passing of two official acts on July 9, 1999: Nunavut Land Claims Agreement Act and Nunavut Act. These acts are especially particular to Nunavut, but we, of course, celebrate the day by spreading the word. So, I encourage you to go out and learn all about Nunavut's history and cultural importance.
Here we have some traditional Nunavut art.

Our second holiday on today's list is Sports Cliche Week. Everyone has heard a sports cliche at least once in a lifetime, whether it is in a sports movie, spoken by a sportscaster, or said on the Little League baseball diamond. They have also become a staple in the business world as "pick-me-up" speeches, and I have definitely heard my share of them in the office. Here's a giant list of sports cliches organized by their use. Some of the most popular among them being: "They don't pull any punches," "The ball's in your court," "We knocked it out of the park," and the classic among 'famous' players "I'd like to thank my Lord and savior." Feel free to add more to this list!
Classic.

Enjoy your day!
CS, out.
