Recreating Nude with Different Eyes and Paper Bags

Trying to beat the summer heat this year? You could try jumping into the nearest pool, drinking truckloads of iced tea and lemonade, or simply staying in front of the household air conditioner (or swamp cooler, for us southwesterners), but there is a much more exciting way: Nude Recreation Week! That's right, dearies, the week of July 9-15 is a time when you and the members of the American Association for Nude recreation as well as the The Naturist Society can show their beliefs au naturale! We would show you how we celebrated, but we like to keep this a family-friendly blog! Just use your imagination! Thanks to Space and Monica for helping us celebrate via Facebook!
Nude and Proud!

Next up, July 12th is Different Colored Eyes Day. We were struggling to actually find someone with different colored eyes, so here are some fun facts about having dual-colored eyes:
  • It is a condition known as Heterochromia
  • Famous individuals with the condition include Jane Seymour, David Bowie, and Christopher Walken
  • Most common in dogs, cats, and horses
  • Could be a result of injury or disease if onset is later in life
  • Babies born with Heterochromia should be checked immediately for disease
This guy just got a bit cooler in my solidly green eyes!

Last on our list is Paper Bag Day. Remember going to the grocery store and being asked "Paper or plastic?" I was too interested in trying to get candy, so not really, but I'm sure some folks do. Lately, the rage has been to bring reusable bags to each and every grocery store (some even offer minimal discounts), and it is a rarity to find a store that still has paper bags to offer. However, you can still find them when purchasing liquor or wine. And many school students will still "paper bag it" for their lunch rather than finding a super cool plastic lunchbox like I used to have! Here's our salute to the classic paper bag:

Paper bags--more than just lunch transporters!

Ok, that's it for now. See you in our next installment!

CS, out.
