The American Dream. Beer, vintage NASCAR shirt, shitty reclaimed chair, and not a care in the world.
After this photo was taken we proceeded to play dominoes on the front porch with our good friend Doug. Wait. There's more. Then Andy came by and the four of us watched...Ghost Rider: Spirt of Stenchness. That movie was so relaxing it put Doug to sleep. I've found the cure for insomnia. Ghost Rider. Moving on.
Wednesday was also V-J Day. That's Victory in Japan Day for you uneducated young people. Now, I'm not trying to be a bummer but I can't celebrate this day without feeling kinda shitty. Yes, it was a good thing that WWII ended but at the same time the decision to use atomic devices on the civilian population was, for lack of a better term/phrase, the worst idea ever. Let's open the door for a cold war while scarring multiple generations of people in the process. Puts a real cloud over the whole celebration thing but that's another reason why I have this blog and that's to express MY opinion. You don't have to agree with what Jess or I always say but if you're reading than clearly you're interested and the thus the world keeps turning. I will forever be proud of all those who served in WWII and will be always thankful that the war ended when it did and more American lives were not lost in battle. Now let's all put on a happy face and go about the rest of our days. Cheers!
